Holiday food baskets for those in need
It is time to give thanks for what we have and to share with our less fortunate neighbors. The Service Committee of the Duxbury Interfaith Council, is appealing to all members of the community for support as it begins to prepare to provide holiday food baskets to as many as 150 families in Duxbury.

Outreach services
The Interfaith Council needs your help more than ever before. Our Outreach funds have been dipped into in order to help families in need. We are looking for cash donations so we can again make the coming season brighter for those less fortunate.

The Service Committee is in need of the following items: Canned foods; green and yellow vegetables, cranberry sauce and non-frozen concentrated juice mixes. Packaged mixes; cakes, frostings, desserts, pie crusts and fillings, muffins, cookies, brownies and stuffing. Home baked goodies; cakes, pies, cookies, breads. If you belong to an organization that can commit to preparing a number of goodies please call us at 781-934-8388.

Camperships
Each summer we provide financial assistance to help send Duxbury school-age children in need to a summer camp. We know that a camp experience can benefit children and busy, overworked parents as well.

Our camperships are distributed based upon need and the financial capabilities of the child’s family. We cannot guarantee assistance, because the success of our program depends upon our receiving donations sufficient to cover all costs.

The committee needs baked goods for every basket. Why not add an extra batch or two of cookies to your holiday baking. This will add great cheer to your neighbor’s dinner and your contributions will be greatly appreciated by the Interfaith Council.
